The Yakka contract offers Local Governments a range of flexible service options and fast, efficient delivery. Councils can tailor a supply solution to suit their needs with an extensive choice of garments from the Stylecorp Corporate Wear range. In addition, Councils have the choice to adopt the LGC branding or their individual council logo.
Most importantly, Councils have access to all style, colour and size ranges all year round! The Yakka Sales Representatives are available to assist with range and fitting information and Yakka offer delivery all within 15 working days, subject to stock availability.

Extra Assistance - Sales Representatives and Fittings
Our Customer Service Team is on hand to assist you in completing your order form. In addition, Yakka offer a uniform consultation with one of our Sales Representatives.
Yakka Sales Representatives offer group fittings for Metropolitan and selected Major Regional areas. Our staff can visit working locations at an agreed time to assist with selecting a range and to conduct a professional fitting session for staff. Our representatives provide samples for staff to try on, ensuring they are completely comfortable with their sizes prior to placing the order. Normally a minimum of 20 staff are required for Group Fittings.
Staff within smaller councils or in rural locations can benefit from our ‘Free Sampling’ Service. Employees can order plain stock samples (no embroidery) in their estimated sizes to verify fit, prior to placing an order. These samples will be invoiced to your Local Government account. Once employees have established their sizes, samples are to be returned to Yakka. All samples must be returned in the same condition as received without soils or stains and with all swing tickets intact and in original packaging. Once the garments are returned the account will be credited. All fitting samples must be returned within 21 days and Yakka will be responsible for all freight charges.
Delivery
It is our aim to dispatch uniform orders, within 15 working days of order receipt, including having your logo embroidered! As the Stylecorp Corporate Wear range is stock service, there may be rare instances where we do not have a particular size in stock.
On those occasions, the bulk of your order will be dispatched in 15 working days, meaning you will never be without some items of your uniform. The remaining items will be on back-order for delivery as soon as possible. Any items remaining on back order will be shown on your delivery / invoice docket. The Customer Service team can assist with expected delivery dates for items on back-order.
Embroidery
Yakka offer Local Governments the choice of the national LGC branding or their own individual Local Government crest or logo. All logos and branding are embroidered onto garments ordered. There are no differences in cost for either the Local Government Corporate or the Organisational branding.
Pricing
Yakka offer exceptional prices to Local Government. Our price lists are available from our Customer Service team or your local state Sales Representative. Our prices are inclusive of delivery and GST and our corporate wear range pricing is inclusive of one application of embroidery.
Payment Options
Yakka offer two payment options to Local Government.
If your uniform order is funded by your Local Government or Council, your order form must be accompanied by a valid purchase order number and the order will be charged to the council trading account. Please note that your orders cannot be processed without a valid purchase order number.
Yakka also accept credit card payments for staff purchasing their own uniform items. Simply place your credit card and payment details in the space provided on the first page of the order form. Credit card payments are processed at the time the order is processed.
Enjoy your Savings on you Tax
Your LGC wardrobe is registered with the Australian Taxation Office and is Tax deductible. Simply quote the registration number CW73324 at Tax time to claim your deduction.
For Uniform Co-ordinators - The registration with AusIndustry is for Local Governments on a national level and each council will have the ability to sign up to be eligible under the national registration. Each council must 'declare' or 'sign in' under the LGC registration by completing the Yakka Uniform registration forms.
To ensure eligibility to AusIndustry's Approved Clothing Guidelines there are certain guidelines that have been set out by the Australian Government. Colour/pattern combinations should be selected in line with the employee numbers within each class of employees. The Yakka Sales Representatives are available to assist with the process of selecting a range to meet the Ausindustry requirements and with the completion of the declaration forms. Returns and Exchanges
The Standard Yakka return policy is:
- Embroidered garments cannot be returned, with the exception of:
- Faulty, poor quality garments that are returned for exchange
- Incorrectly supplied or dispatched garments are returned for exchange
- Garments must be returned within 21 days of receipt.
- Non embroidered garments used as samples must be in the same condition in which they were supplied with all packaging and labelling attached. A copy of the original invoice must also be included.
- A return authority number must be accompanying any returns. Returns authority numbers are provided by contacting the Yakka Customer Service team on 1800 644 517.
- All quality returns will be accepted subject to the Yakka Warranty.
